Ses couteaux eurent tellement de succ\u00e8s qu\u2019il d\u00e9cida de se lancer dans la fabrication.<\/strong><br \/><strong>En 1897, est mis au point 12 tailles d\u2019Opinel num\u00e9rot\u00e9s. A part le N\u00b0 1 et 11, toutes les s\u00e9ries sont encore fabriqu\u00e9es aujourd\u2019hui.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div Les phases d&rsquo;aiguisage permet d&rsquo;obtenir des lames\u00a0 extr\u00eamement robuste et de qualit\u00e9 irr\u00e9prochable<\/strong><br \/><strong>Ce n&rsquo;est qu&rsquo;en 1955 que la bague de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 est apparu, faisant\u00a0 la notori\u00e9t\u00e9 des couteaux Opinel, \u00e9vitant \u00e0 la lame de se refermer pendant l&rsquo;utilisation.<br mod\u00e8le de couteau tout simple <\/strong><strong>qui a eu le succ\u00e8s que l&rsquo;on conna\u00eet,<br \/><\/strong><strong>Il \u00e9tait fils de Daniel Opinel, forgeron sp\u00e9cialiste des <\/strong><strong>outils ayant un tranchant comme les serpes, les serpettes et m\u00eame les <\/strong><strong>socs de charrue <br \/><\/strong><strong>Petit fils de Victor Am\u00e9d\u00e9e Opinel, lui m\u00eame forgeron, il forgeait des clous et outils simples.<br \/><\/strong><strong>Joseph avait appris son m\u00e9tier avec son p\u00e8re qui tenta de le dissuader <\/strong><strong>\u00a0sous le pr\u00e9texte \u00ab<\/strong><em>Au lieu de t&rsquo;amuser \u00e0 bricoler tes <\/em><em>couteaux fermants, tu ferais beaucoup mieux de faire comme moi de <\/em><em>bons et solides outils pour nos paysans\u00bb<\/em><strong>.<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>En 1895, Joseph opinel d\u00e9cide d&rsquo;aller \u00e0 Thiers et se fait embaucher par un fabricant de cette ville.<\/strong><br \/><strong>En 1900, Joseph Opinel quitta l&rsquo;atelier de son p\u00e8re pour s&rsquo;installer dans sa propre usine qu&rsquo;il avait construite de ses mains \u00e0 l&rsquo;entr\u00e9e <\/strong><strong>du village. Un des premiers clients a \u00e9t\u00e9 M. La fourchette n&rsquo;\u00e9tait pas d&rsquo;usage courant, on se servait de la pointe du couteau pour piquer la viande. C&rsquo;est le cardinal de Richelieu qui eut l&rsquo;id\u00e9e de faire arrondir les pointes des couteaux de table.<\/strong><\/em><br \/><em><strong>\u00abSuivant ce que rapporte Tallement des R\u00e9aux, le cardinal \u00e9tait oblig\u00e9 de subir \u00e0 sa table le chancelier S\u00e9guier qui mangeait d&rsquo;une fa\u00e7on malpropre et se curait les dents avec son couteau. Le cardinal, froiss\u00e9 de cette mani\u00e8re d&rsquo;agir, commanda \u00e0 son ma\u00eetre d&rsquo;h\u00f4tel de faire arrondir les pointes de ses couteaux pour emp\u00eacher le chancelier de se livrer \u00e0 table \u00e0 son r\u00e9curage\u00bb.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-63eb6de elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"63eb6de\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><em><strong>Joseph Opinel se porte acqu\u00e9reur de la tannerie le 21 d\u00e9cembre <\/strong><strong>1915, pour 12 000 francs payables en trois fois chez Ma\u00eetre Ponet.<\/strong><\/em><br \/><em><strong>On raconte encore dans ma famille <\/strong><strong>l&rsquo;incident \u00e9tonnant qui faillit faire \u00abcapoter\u00bb toute l&rsquo;affaire ce jour-l\u00e0.<\/strong><\/em><br \/><em><strong>Mon grand-p\u00e8re avait soigneusement serr\u00e9 dans son portefeuille <\/strong><strong>l&rsquo;acompte de 4 000 francs en billets qu&rsquo;il devait remettre au notaire (\u00e0 <\/strong><strong>l&rsquo;\u00e9poque, il n&rsquo;y avait ni ch\u00e8ques, ni virements, ni cartes bleues). Comme il disposait d&rsquo;une heure avant son rendez-vous, il eut l&rsquo;id\u00e9e de <\/strong><strong>revoir l&rsquo;\u00e9tat d&rsquo;une partie du canal qui, bien s\u00fbr, \u00e9tait en eau. C&rsquo;est en <\/strong><strong>arrivant chez le notaire qu&rsquo;il s&rsquo;aper\u00e7ut qu&rsquo;il n&rsquo;avait plus son portefeuille. Il pensa alors qu&rsquo;il avait probablement gliss\u00e9 de sa poche <\/strong><strong>dans le canal lorsqu&rsquo;il s&rsquo;\u00e9tait pench\u00e9 pour soulever une trappe de <\/strong><strong>visite. Imaginez son \u00e9tat lorsqu&rsquo;il refit son parcours.
